I believe that the body remembers and stores trauma. I have come through a long period of extreme stress and trauma, one that was a terrible detriment to my health. I am now trying to heal my body and mind. I wonder what of it is stored in my fat cells, and how much getting rid of fat and generating new muscle cells helps with healing?

releasing toxin build up in the body is extremely helpful. I love deep massage when I spoil myself and then a ton of water to help flush that all out

I’m at the same stage. Trying to heal my mind, body and soul. It’s been a very stressful few years but I’m starting to actually believe that #thebestisyettocome Keep rocking, you’re doing amazing!

My mom believed that stress and trauma was what caused her cancer. I think that our bodies are naturally able to fight off a lot when it's healthy but when it's dealing with extreme stress it can't do everything and "other" stuff will happen. This is just my opinion!

I hope the loss heals. Either way, losing weight, getting healthy and feeling better about oneself has a beautifully positive effect on the mind and soul. I’m less stressed and so much happier now that I am achieving my goal, have energy and can look at myself in the mirror again. Hugs to all of you who have experienced trauma in your lives - may you find peace.

I feel the same way, I think my trauma is still trapped in my body. I think taking care of my health and feeling better about my body will help.

I feel for you. I am still not over all of the trauma that has been in my life. The yoga and healthy eating has helped a lot. Might sound silly, but have you tried meditating? I know it helps me with my stress. Maybe it could do the same for you. :*)

Simply by taking care of ur body, feeling better and looking better gives u a whole new perspective to life. Maybe it can help you with trauma. But weight lost on its own won’t fix trauma we gotta work on that in another way that’s not weight loss.

Heal the mind and heart first and the body will follow, when one is out of balance the entire self being is out of balance. a wise man Wahb ibn Munnabih said : "Verily, everything has two ends and a middle. If you hold one of the ends, the other will be skewed. If you hold the middle, the two ends will be balanced. You must seek the middle ground in all things."
