This past year has been tough. I went from being an extremely active (12,000-15,000 steps a day) professional organizer and merchandiser to being... a couch potato. I blew out the ligaments in my right knee and tore the meniscus in my left. Good times.

Now... I walk the dog about once a day (hubby does morning duty as that's when the knees are creakiest) and have a brand new sit-down job staring at a computer monitor all day. My weight is creeping up and it's my own fault: bread and cookies are my number one comfort food and when I hurt, I turn to food.

I don't want another year like this one. I'm trying to actively lose some weight to make it easier on my knees. I had already lost 20 pounds, but have gained 6 back since October. Time to change! My goal is to lose 26 pounds and get to where I can exercise again.

Entering current weight in weight history
I can get today's in, but not yesterdays! I realized that I hadn't clicked "100%" when following the diet completely, so I deleted yesterday's weigh-in and tried to change it using the historical weights option on the tool bar. No luck. I'm so irritated!

Weight Loss Bar Graph Help
In the weight history section I like to see the graph below which has a bar graph charting my weight. I noticed today that one of my bars is yellow while all the rest are red. Does anyone know what that means? I can't find an answer on the site.

Decluttering Your Diet!
Bless their hearts; my decluttering clients really try hard to change, but when you're ingrained in your ways it's super hard. For many of them, moving to a new residence is a way to start over fresh. For others, it's even harder. I just heard that one of my clients (who moved out of state) still has 80 boxes to unpack because she has nowhere to put stuff.

When I relate decluttering to dieting it makes so much sense. Get rid of the stuff that's been sitting around, unused (old, expired food). Make good choices about what you're going to eat (get rid of anything that doesn't fit a healthy lifestyle). Put some effort into rewarding yourself (instead of getting a fattening treat, put the money in a jar and save for a movie night or overnight in a hotel).

Booze
It's my understanding that your body treats alcohol like it's pure sugar; there's nothing beneficial like vitamins, minerals, protein, etc. So it's a splurge. I had 2 drinks on Saturday (big ones!) but ate sparingly the rest of the day and came in under my RDI for the day. I don't want to do it again really fast, though, because it's really just a waste of calories. I'd rather have a steak!
