I am officially retired! I am looking forward to rest, relaxation, cooking and exercising. In other words, taking care of ME!

Go Brinella! That retirement thing is kinda scary for guys that know little more than a shoulder to the grindstone! But when I can break free I’m gonna follow your footsteps so show us the Way to retire girl! Live life and do it all! 😎

Congratulations! I love being retired and I am in the best health I have ever been...dumped the high blood pressure, the antidepressant, and 70 pounds. Enjoy!

So glad to hear that, hoping to be able to say the same very soon. Ten pounds from my goal weight.

I started with disability. Then retirement. I was 63 when I went from 12 hour shifts in ER to disability. Autoimmune disease got me to the point that I couldn’t do it anymore. But now I do what I want to do. You will love retirement. Enjoy!

Congratulations! Husband retired 4 years ago and we also moved from city to rural area. Finished with major remodeling last year. That's when we finally started taking care of ourselves. It's easier when you retire. Wishing you success!

I retired at 69 and immediately loaded up with activities so I wouldn't get bored! major error! Everything that had a deadline of some sort had the same week's deadline. So I cut out a few activities but kept my volunteering at the library. I still love that but wonder how I can eventually retire from volunteering -- it's not as easy as quitting a paying job.
