So many people on this site (myself included) are dieting like crazy to look as good as you do.

The thrift shops are a great option during weight loss - plus donating your over- size clothes gets a nice tax deduction.

Your kind words come to me at a really crucial time, reading your comments brings tears to my eyes. Thank you everyone for being so supportive. The new job is definitely how I am getting so trim so quickly, and I think that I’m out of the running for oncology.

Sorry to hear about the oncology opportunity. But, I am sure you know the old saying, 'when one door closes another door opens'...

Kay—I’m sorry about the oncology gig. As a cardiac carb lab supervisor I was involved in hiring staff. I had interviewed a nurse for a position but did not select her. A couple weeks later she called me, thanked me for interviewing her and asked IF I would share with her what she might need to learn or do differently in order to increase her chances of getting hired in the future. I was impressed. I gave her several suggestions for continuing her critical care type of experience, certifications to work on, etc. I kept her name in my files and about a year later I had another position open. I sent her a note and invited her to reapply. She did and she had done all of the things we had talked about. I never posted that position. I hired her. So the long and short of it is—- if oncology is really where your heart is, persevere. You have a great track record for success. You can do this too. I think oncology nursing needs YOU.

Yes - Kenna, very beautiful and true!

Well it’s the strangest thing, I called the HR director and spoke with her again, and she said that they were still trying to arrange another interview with a different candidate. I told her I would patiently await her phone call and thank her for her time. She told me it wasn’t a no. But it feels very much like a no.
Thank you everyone, I love reading your comments.
