Day 1 of a planned 3 days of eating

Looking at my numbers, the fact is I have been gaining weight for the past 9 months. The COVID lockdown made it worse, but, I have gotten better and slowed the gain down.

Let's look at my numbers for this month:

Daily Average:
Exercise: 2437kcal Food: 1404kcal (Fat: 88.80g, Protein: 84.84g, Carbs: 58.94g)

Actual numbers:
Exercise: 26807kcal Food: 15448kcal (Fat: 976.81g, Protein: 933.25g, Carbs: 648.37g)

My point is I can't cut my calories any more. I run 15 miles a week. It is a good thing that I have always believed that my (non water) weight is controlled by the amount of macros my body absorbs and the fat burned. While this is 'related' to the calories I consume and expend, a 'calorie deficit', for me, will not cause weight loss.

I only lose weight when I cause my body to burn fat, period.

The way that has worked for me in the past is to reduce sources of dietary glucose (this includes carbs and excess protein).

This is why 'water fasting' has worked for me in the past. So next week, I am going to try to work up the mental energy to 'water fast'.

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

What about your “sleeping “ habits? Are you averaging 7-8 hours per day. Body enjoys those healing hours!!

I'm heading back to the office for a few days next week so I may probably entertain a water fast on those days. It is easier for me to do this on those days. Best of luck bud!

@Jenjabba - Hey stranger! Good to see you 😊. Yeah they call it the "COVID-20" (sigh) - I am sorry for your loss.

@Joelmel - When I do a true 'water fast' it is only water, coffee, green tea, splenda, heavy cream. The only purpose it to eliminate the carbs and protein.

Last month daily average 1400 kcal but still gaining weight !!!??? Very strange.

@Tassos67 - Haha no not strange to me. I have been on this site for nearly 8 years. I always had a 'calorie deficit' when I lost weight, but having a 'calorie deficit' does not mean I will lose weight. My body operates on molecules ingested from chemical processes. Those molecules are consumed by chemical processes. There is no 'calorie math' only E=MC2. Also, the "calorie calculation" assumes that metabolism is 'constant' and we know it is not. When I reduce my calories my metabolism slows down. So no I am not surprised at all.
