Sounds like it’s time to recalibrate the scale. Or to buy a new one from Amazon. LOL 🙋🏻

I don't trust scales with batteries. I bought a balance beam scale, takes up more space but I trust it. Even when I don't like what it shows!

I would add measurements to your weight. You can't dispute measurements!

Kaya, it depends on what type of scale. Home spring and battery powered scales will give different readings if you don't step on exactly the same spot every time. Balance beam scales (like the ones in doctors offices, gyms, etc) use calibrated weights - which don't change. I would only worry about cleanliness of a public scale, not its accuracy.

Thanks for the words of encouragement everyone! This was an important factor for me to know so I can accurately track my progress. I first became suspicious when the I went to the doctor's office a few months ago, the scale read 189. It was in the afternoon so I assumed it was water weight. I tried my sister's scale after that and it says 190, but my scale still said 185. Still thought it was fluctuations. Fast forward to last week when I went to my doctor's again and the scale is at 190. I decided to weigh myself on Wednesday morning (before eating and drinking, which is the same day and same process when I weigh myself at home) at the gym. My gym has a very advanced scale that their personal trainers use for accurate body mass reading for their clients. That scale read 191 and that confirmed all my suspicion about my weight. It's a bummer, but at least I know what the correct one is now. I'll be using my sister's scale from now on.

I went through the same scale verification process. the nice thing is that I am confident in my scale at home. Good luck on your adventure.

That’s totally ok! You are beautiful no matter what the scale says. And just keep pushing and you WILL reach your goal!

Amazon sells a nice line of programable scales from Hangsun that I just bought one of for around $20.
