I like nurturing people, but if I'm becoming too mothering for you just tell me to back off. My kids do all the time! I & my sister live 5 hours away from each other so we don't drive each other nuts for that reason! LOL I love my kids & my cats & crafts. Cooking used to be right up there on that list, &?I still love to entertain in small groups when I can.

My 25 year marriage finally died. My ex was pretty patient about all the health issues, but when I didn't get better with the change of life as all the doctors blew up on us. I then took a look & realized this WAS my normal. It has been for over 20 years & waiting for a miracle is damn stupid. So I am taking back what life I've got left!

About 4 or 5 years ago at almost 400 lbs. Most of that was weight I had after having my children, from meds, from my thyroid going out... I have see-sawed between 200 and 375 for years, and then got stuck ...until my endocrinologist in 2014 finally suggested Bariatric surgery!

I was crying at how hopeless I felt in her office. I spent a year losing 60 lbs & gained it back in 2 weeks w/a change in my thyroid. I checked into it over the next year. Reassuring the surgeon that I knew it wouldn’t cure my migraines! (?😳?)

I had the sleeve procedure done in October of 2015. I’ve lost somewhere around 145 lbs since this started. It’s been tough all the way. People tell me it’s easier to do with the surgery. Maybe it is. I know that without all the testing for shortages & things that were off in my body nutrition wise even before the surgery, I would never have made it. When your iron is at 9 you have no energy. I don’t know how much longer I would have gone before they found it.
The slog is the same. I still crave. I still have a stomach, and I still eat, I just finally have doctors monitoring what they should have been all along because now my stomach has been reduced in size. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have always eaten 5 or 6 or more times a day and eaten very small meals of 1 or 2 small things. A normal restaurant meal is 3-5 "meals" for me. But I have a very slow metabolism and a pretty sedentary lifestyle. If you aren't exercising much you might look at adjusting your RDI and/or the timing of the kinds of food you are eating at what times. Your liver is geared to release sugar for your brain and organs to continue operating while you it extra carbs to handle right then just gets them converted to fat or if you are hypoglyceamic puts your blood sugar too low. So eating a bit of fat and some protein at night isn't bad and keeping any carbs for the daytime or morning when you are putting them to work. Water is a must all day as well. Not caffeine. Water.
