I packed our suitcases, jewelry, a few paper documents I could find, a few irreplaceable items and lots of snacks and left my house. Staying at my dads house, higher on the hill to be able to see and check on things. Since power is out across more than 10cities being updated on the fire is really hard.

I'm so sorry, it's terrifying. Focus on getting prepared, we have a GPS app for county alerts down here, I'm sure they have something similar there. Will pray they get this under control quickly.

Are you in Southern California? I heard about fires on the news and fire fighters being sent to help from Northern California where I live. I feel for you, having been evacuated myself in October. I am praying that you and your family stays safe. Usually you figure by December the fire danger is over for a few months.
