Started on making dinner early. The rolls are done at least. Feeding a big crew tonight, and they won't think 20 rolls are enough... better get cracking on a lot more elements to the meal. @keyten, is this early enough in the day?? :)

You are ambitious to make rolls. I do once in a while but a lot of work and time consuming, but you’re right— worth it.

Beautiful!! Yet another reason computers need to have scratch & sniff.

Kenna, thank you, but I wish I could feel really accomplished for making bread. It is my go to easy thing. I've made it my whole life... Literally thousands of times. Between loaf bread, rolls, pizza dough, etc... It is just ordinary. Now If I could just cook interesting and exotic food like I see so often here!!!😁 Bella, you're so much fun!!

Me! I make fresh bread and rolls. But then, I don’t work either. Just a little tougher for you younger people.

Great for you mellissatwa— nothing like fresh bread out of the oven.

@keyten, I promise I wasn't late! I tried! OK, I'm going to blame you for somehow missing it before happily indulging in your lovely calamari! How inattentive of you! 😁 😁 😁 And sadly, because there was only eight of us and there was a lot of other food, I have left over rolls to tempt me and will grow stale. My silly family seems to think "fresh" is bread eaten basically when hot. 😒

There is nothing as wonderful as the smell of fresh bread.

And thanks, Kenna! I am thankful I had a mom who taught me to cook and bake from when I was so young. It isn't all that time consuming for me making bread, since I always have other stuff to do while waiting for the different stages. I only work part time right now. But, I do so wish I knew more about how to cook a lot of things that interest me. I'm kind a stuck in Olds patterns of just trying to get food on the table. I'm getting more inspired to try more things from what I see here!

Mellisatwa— I subscribe to DIABETIC LIVING (although I am not diabetic) and EATING WELL magazine. Sometimes I just see a recipe and go for it. I also record a couple food shows and pick a recipe from one of them. I have a file cabinet drawer full of my frequently used recipes. I actually like to cook, and try.new things. It seems that most of my friend are either diabetic or soon will be so I am constantly looking for ways to alter my recipes to make them at least a bit healthier.

Melissa, if you can read you can cook anything you want. There are so many great recipes for all kinds of food on the internet. It isn't difficult to adopt them to a healthy eating pattern with a little tweaking. Your rolls do look wonderful. Making and eating yeast breads is one of my favorite indulgence even when dieting. I do subscribe to Mr. Food Everyday Diabetic even though I am not diabetic. There are some great recipes there. It is an email everyday. Don't ever think you can't expand your cooking talent.

Wilder... I'm an excellent reader but it hasn't saved my cooking. 😆 I will admit having allrecipes and pinterest has helped a tiny bit.
