What was your turning point?
My turning point came when my doctor told me that my risk of having a stroke or heart attack is the same as someone who has already had one. My blood sugar is too high, higher than normal, but not high enough to be labeled diabetic. If I don't take off the weight I will, not might, become diabetic. I've finally decided that no food tastes good enough to let myself become diabetic, especially since I can avoid it with weight loss. I've lost and kept off 10 lbs and my blood sugar has decreased. I'm having a hard time losing more, but I'm not giving up. Best wishes to everyone!!!

Things I hate about being overweight
I can relate to many of these. I think it's a good idea to follow up with 10 reasons you will love being at a healthy weight. I find I do better with positive motivators than beating myself up with all the negatives. Get all those negatives off your chest and replace them with the vision of what you want!

10 things I will love about being at a healthy weight.

1. Being able to keep up with my children.
2. Wearing a bathing suit.
3. Not getting the "When is your baby due?" question.
4. Buying new clothes.
5. Wearing sleeveless shirts.
6. Feeling stronger.
7. Walking without the pain of my thighs rubbing together.
8. Liking pictures of myself.
9. Setting a good example for my children and students.
10. Being a better version of myself.

Wii programs good or bad?
The yoga in wii fit is good if you are learning about yoga. It can really help improve your posture and balance. The strength exercises can be pretty challenging. The others are fun ways to break a sweat. I love the hula hoop under aerobics. I feel like it tones my waist (I'm starting to actually have a waist again!) If your cable tv has exercise on demand you might like to try that. I do yoga and pilates using cable all the time. Have fun.

Lifestyle Change Habits -
Good for you!!!! I"m in a similar boat. I just love food and I eat a lot of healthful foods. I lost 10 lbs before finding this site and hope to lose 50 more. Keep up the great work. Being healthy rocks. I am trying to avoid type 2 diabetes myself so your comment about being overweight being a serious danger to your health really hit home with me. Here's to good health!
