59Carol's Journal, 29 December 2018

I just did a journal entry but it seems to have disappeared. Maybe it is totally lost or maybe it is going to randomly show up!

It is my weigh in tomorrow. I am a bit leary as I have not been stellar in all my choices. I have not even done a sneak preview so I hope that I haven't undone my hard work in one week.

We are under a snowfall warning as there is an expected 6-10 inches of snow coming by tomorrow morning. It is definitely snowing and has been since early this morning. My sister and I went for our weekly walk but bailed after 45 minutes due to wind and snow. I think I will be hibernating for the next while.

I got an iPhone for Christmas so I was able to take a picture. I hope it will load properly. This is a view of my living room window. You can see the hoar frost on the branch. My husband enjoys lying on the window seat while doing Sudoku puzzles and watching the birds. A few weeks ago we had 15 cedar wax wings in that one tree. It is a nice place for my husband to rest when he is up and out of bed and wants to be a part of things.

Thank you. It is a real pleasant space. I am so glad that we have a peaceful relaxed space to be in. Those are my two grandkids in the photos -- since you shared yours with us I thought you might be interested!

Thank you for seeing what I see when I look at where I live! When we moved here 37 years ago, we told ourselves that would never stop appreciating that we lived in a beautiful place.

Egull we don't get chickadees but we sure do get a variety of birds. There are robins, sparrows, a number of wax wings of different colours. My husband is the bird watcher so he would be much more precise than me. He keeps a bird book near him so he can check exactly what birds they are.

TtinaBee I know it is just a number but man oh man when I step on the scale it feels so much more than that -- it feels like the arbiter of what I have done in the past week. I know, deep breaths. See it, learn from it and move on!

Gorgeous view, and i agree -- who doesn't love a window seat? Love the drawers underneath too. Extra storage never hurts either. Ty for sharing, 59carol!

The scale is looking like a 1.5 pound gain. I can deal with it but I hate losing my 12 week losing streak!

mszeno I am 60 (61 in a week) and weigh 250. I plan to be down 50 pounds by next January. It is a marathon not a sprint! You are welcome to join me. We'll enjoy the views along the way.

I live in Texas....so no winter scenery for me lol. I love the beautiful look after snow, just not the cold that goes with it lol. I am 50 and just started FS. My starting weight is 280. And yes, this must be a marathon and not a sprint.
