PRO-TIP: If you are going to IHOP and decide on the omelet, be sure to have it made with fresh eggs. The usual omelet mixture has added pancake batter. It adds over 300 calories, and around 16 g of carbs.

There's another restaurant similar to Waffle House called Huddle House. I'm not sure if they do this or not because I don't eat omelets outside my home, usually.

One place we went to added baking powder to the eggs to make them fluffier

Baking powder is ok, but you still have to watch the sodium. I use a tablespoon or two when making scrambled eggs.

I didn’t realize iHop did it until I did the math. As it turns out, it’s right there on the menu. I just never knew. While you could also ask for just egg white, that’s not my thing.

Pancake batter in eggs, ewwww....better to just eat at home anymore....

Yea, safer. You have no idea what restaurants add to your food.

I always thought that these large breakfast chain's eggs had a strange texture (I assumed it was because they added milk or something). Give me an old fashioned, local owned, greasy spoon kind of place where the eggs are eggs...

I used to get a stomach ache from their eggs then I found that out. Now I ask specifically for “shell eggs”. Much better.
