I'm 60+ yrs old.. My goal is to get to a normal weight and hopefully get rid of all my medications. So far, I've dropped over 20# and stopped metformin for diabetes and one of my blood pressure meds. Once I get below 150# (and I am determined) I think I will feel much better and be able to move more so than I can now. A new diagnosis of gout has slowed me down and stopped me from doing a pure keto diet. I am still trying to eliminate most sugars and processed food. I've added green tea, lemon juice and salads with apple cider vinegar dressing to my weekly menu and tried to cut back on protein.. red meat in particular seems to trigger gout flares. It's slow going for now but I keep moving forward anyway!
