KETO TO Carnivore baby! I'm still not losing and still don't feel well. August will be 3rd month in Ketosis, and yup, i test throughout the day daily. And yup, under the care of a great keto doc. I'll check in with him in a few weeks. There were a few days my carbs were over 20, and that was from fiber, but still could be cause for my pause. My body just might be one of them where 20 is the max, no more! OK. Bring it on! Until i can fix this metabolic resistance, it is WAR! SOoooooo...

Starting today, I'm going CARNIVORE! BEEF and Bacon and Butter only BBB (cheapest i could find without added hormones etc. Grass fed is OUT) for the next week and longer if i can. Ahhh. It will be the ultimate elimination diet. NO dairy except butter as needed. Maybe i should ditch that for the week?

Then I'm going to see how i do and hopefully start adding items.

Good luck! What has worked for me when trying to get results was trying new things, logging carefully, then later looking at the data :)

Thanks Adefwebserver and Kimberliefielding. I wish i could fast like you Adefwebserver, but i'm still fighting off dang hunger. Not munchies, but my body is still sending signals i'm hungry when i shouldn't be. When I try to fast 18 hrs, it is all i can do to get to dinner. I try to keep busy! I got bumped up on my new Hormone meds a few days ago which should help. I'll keep at this dose the next month. I really am blown away my body is so stubborn. Doc suggested trying carnivore, so now i'm ready.

Try a fat fast for a day or two. Look it up online. The first one I did i literally lost 2" in my waist over night. The second one just got me back into ketosis quickly.

I kept trying things until I found something that worked for ME. You WILL find what works for YOU. Please don't get discouraged, and please do-not-give-up!

Been reading about carnivore diet and it it quite interesting, especially if you have any food sensitivities - known or unknown. The surprise was it resets your gut biome. If you're questioning whether to use butter, get ghee. The milk solids have been removed from it. Also read yesterday that a study was reported in the Journal of Gastroenterology where chronic constipation was resolved by removing all fiber from the diet. Evidently the fiber can keep "feeding" a screwed up gut biome and the lack of fiber lets it reset. Go figure!

good luck and hope you find a solution soon.😊

Teackin64 Yes! I read that too! Thanks for reminding me of that info. I bet dairy and eggs are part of my problem. I actually recall a year in my life I was skinny and I ate filet mignon almost every day! I naturally did intermittent fasting (but know I wasn't healthy and was starved) but was skinny on meat lol. I'll check in next week!

I'm going back on my 3 day fat fast. I looked on youtube and found another one also that I might try the end of the week just to change it up a bit.

Jenjabba, do you know why poultry isn't listed on the carnivore diet? At least I've never seen it.

Good luck @Jenjabba You can do this! I don't think it would matter between the butter or ghee unless you have milk solid issue which you could have. Have you ever tried adding in a little MCT? Whatever you do, don't give up. Our bodies are unique and you will find what works for you. From what you said above, the carnivore diet may be just what you need. Just keep your fat up to stay in ketosis.

Trackin64 chicken is allowed, all meats. I think some leave chicken out to find out If they are sensitive to it. I know beef is more nutrient dense too. I was going to have salmon for dinner to get rid of it but just didn't feel like it. I had bacon instead lol I'll cook and have tomorrow. Then all beef moving forward I think. This is going well today. I stink like bacon 😂

MGjh06 thanks, as for MCT oil, I was getting a bit of coconut milk .. And I don't want to add mct because my body needs to learn to use the store fat for fuel. A little mct isn't gonna help me lol. Maybe in the future when my body starts working 💪

Very excited about you having a doc that suggest carnivor. It must be one that is keen to keep up with old and new research. I'd suggest using bacon grease instead of butter for a month, to not waste time with potential problems with butter. I really do like that things like cheese is not included in your war strategy. When I started with carnivore I included cheese, and soon got to regret that. Lost time. Wishing you the best of luck. You will most likely feel better than possibly ever on the track youve now headed into.

Diddlee thanks, I was thinking of making clarified butter from what I have, it will eliminate the solids. but ya, I really don't need butter when I have a ton of bacon grease. my lips are nicely moisturized 👍😃 I actually drove to Tennessee to see the Doc Berry. he got me on some hormones and supplements I was very low on. I can now do an evisit with him via video to follow up. dang doctors here in Georgia sent me out of ovary removal surgery with no hormones. I bet if I knew him them I wouldn't have needed the surgery. I actually have a neurologist here that is also keto. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. doctors can't fix much but he can help me along the way to troubleshoot! I finally have someone that is on the same planet 😂

I was also wondering why cheese would be allowed on carnivore. Really, it is a processed food! I enjoy it, but have also started to have my doubts that it helps my cause.

Trackin64 right! I've never heard of the ONLY CHEESE diet taking off lol

good move cutting out all those foods, if you have things you are sensitive to they will slow you down. Once you are cleansed so to speak it is much easier to add one at a time and see how it reacts.
