I was always slender growing up. Teens thru the twenties 5'8.5" 115 lbs. Went up to 135 in my 30's. Stayed at that weight until I quit smoking in 1995 I than gained 50 lbs in 4 months (185 lbs). A friend swore I was pregnant so I looked in the mirror and started watching what I ate for awhile. I had a job where I pretty much walked about 10 miles a day. I was able to get down to 150 lbs and nothing below that. I started smoking again after three years. Stayed at 150 lbs until I hit my 50's. I have a desk job now and have slowly went up to 175 lbs over 3 years holding at that. Quit smoking again May 2016 weight still at 175 lbs. Watched what I ate for a couple months, no weight gain UNTIL Dec 2016 I started gaining about 1.5 lbs a week and in May 2017 5'7.5" (lost an inch somewhere along the lines) and weighing in at 209 lbs my journey begins.

I started Keto and moved into more of a LC with a moderate to high fat WOE. I am happy with my 1 to 3 lbs a month loss. I have played around with my carbs and when I decide to go into Ketosis I can eat around 65 grams. I have lately tried to lose a couple of pounds and maintain for 2-3 weeks and lose 1-3 pounds and maintain again. I do IF on occasion. I drink rum and soda water with another glass or 2 of water every night. Yes I know I would lose more a week/month if I quit. What really sucks is I donated my smaller clothes a couple months prior to starting my journey.

Update: Sept 25, 2018 Been trying something different over the last week. Trying to get between 85 to 100 grams of protein and 24 g of fiber. Will try to keep carbs under 160 grams preferably lower. I have been eating what is considered junk as well. I'll see what happens.

Update: June 29, 2019, back to eating Keto for awhile. It is such an easy tool for weight loss. Will also try for 20 plus grams of fiber which is pretty easy to do even on the Keto WOE.
