Grew up in a bread, milk, fish, meat and potato country. Have since learned about Ketogenic Lifestyle and Intermittent Fasting, and feel grateful!

Lost most of my weight by doing one meal a day on a salad/vegetable rich Keto. I had my meal at breakfast time.

Experienced a lot of stomach discomforts from this plant rich version, and found my happiness in the carnivorous version.

Now in maintenance, and will keep plants and carbs low for feeling great. Allow occasional plants in social events and such.

Water fasting, what is that?
Best reason I've heard, is the simplicity of plain water fasting. From another angle, a carb free, plant free, fat rich diet is also considered to be fasting. It heals in a similar way, and can be done for years if needed. The most popular way of fasting seem to be to expand the time on our nightly fast during sleep. 12+ hours gives the body a chance to do some repair work. Various forms of beat the strain from too frequent eating.

What would you tell your 16 year old self?
I'd say;
1. Get digestion and intestines squeaky clean.
2. Do fresh natural fat as fuel source, with vegetables.
3. Cook and eat as those who lived before the industrial revolution.
