Whoa! Who died, man? Lol

Holy poop! I'm overwhelmed by all the support! You guys are amazing! I knew there was positivity hiding around here somewhere!

Thank you all for the pre-death eulogy, but after having turned off my notifications and just logging my food/exercise yesterday, I am popping in for a quick sec to clarify something...

I'M NOT GONE FOR GOOD (you called it, Hangry). No individuals are at fault, so stop thinking "is it me?", goofballs lol.

Here's the clarification: "it's not you; it's me, baby" ...it's true. I was able to handle and defend the battles for awhile, but they added up over the past month or two and I just got fatigued.

I need to take a break for a little while to get my happy back up and re-balance. I'm 99% drama-free (🇨🇭) in my life, but I've just eaten all the popcorn I can handle here for now.

I'm gonna keep up with my workouts and diet and I'll return soon - the same ol' silly me. I didn't wanna make this a dramatic scene and I'm blown away by the turnout of support and super-dooper encouraging comments (no, DP, I'm not gonna cry).


HERE'S THE IMPORTANT PART.


Seeing even the new kids' comments yesterday (as well as the testimonials from the senior staff members) reminded me - and hopefully all of us - how the kindness and welcoming atmosphere was what made and STILL MAKES this such a great community!

We each have it within us to be great! I'm just hoping we can begin to, once again, look beyond our differences and conflicts and get back to acknowledging how another's situation is much like our own is/was and help and support one another once again and be the warm group of friends we once were without the prevalent, extreme tribalism.

A tall order... a pipedream, perhaps. But, it starts with a choice. Again, each of us has the potential to be hurtful or kind. Step back from a heated argument for a moment and consider others, ask yourself if it's on-topic with the original post, is it supportive, and also how the spectators may view some of the remarks.

It's not a matter of winning or being right; it's a matter of respect and understanding.

I sound like a bleeding-heart, so Imma call it good right here. I do care for you all (against LZ and Diablo's advice 😜).

Stay civil and keto-/carbo-/carnivore-/carry on, folks! 🙌

I'm so happy to hear you are just taking a break. I have done it before myself. Sometimes the disagreements here do get too personal. It's not everyone. There are just a few haters here.We should be able to disagree without personal attacks. A lot of good information has been shared here during discussions. I'm glad that you plan to keep using the tools here and working out to achieve your goals. You helped me by giving me the confidence to eat more and workout harder to reach my goals and I appreciate it...

Thank you - I especially liked your Golem meme yesterday. I have been on FS for many years, and do not recall the tribalism being quite so strong. I have been successful on most of these ways of eating (granted I have not fasted or done OMAD), so to each his own. If it works, great! If you can sustain it, even better. Hope you decide to come back... I actually look at your workouts since I would like to get back into a little bit of lifting.

Your message is right on point! This is not a competition. This is not a right/wrong place. This is about your journey. It is about a way of eating that is sustainable for you. It is a place to learn, assess and reassess, find constructive advice, get ideas about new delicious food, be supported and a place where we can admit our mistakes/shortcomings knowing that we are not going to get kicked to the gutter. The energy you derive from being positive is so much better than energy spent being negative. Thank you, Chrisw77!
