Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Just set it and forget it. A great simple but tasty dish.



  1. Cut steak into cubes or strips and sear.
  2. Meanwhile, add stock, salt and pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup to slow cooker.
  3. Add seared meat and juices to cooker, cook on low for 6 hours.
  4. Turn slow cooker to high and add wine and fresh, sliced mushrooms.
  5. Whisk the flour with 1/3 cup water and add, cooking for 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in sour cream before serving.
  7. Note: serve over egg noodles, wild rice or mashed potatoes.

i chose to add some moscato wine in mine and w the broth and meat and mushroom i think i could only eat that as a beef soupand be happy!! it was sooo good for taste! im still waiting for try the finished dish tonight..hahhaa..def a keeper!!!!

Amazing! I agree with another review, the sauce could have been eaten by itself, it was amazing. The wine definitely added to the kick of the sauce. I saw my husband go back for seconds so I know it was a winner in my house!!

I think you could use beef broth instead of wine. It sounds delicious!

Delicious! Made it over egg noodles, but like others on here, I agree you could eat just the sauce! I added just a hint of nutmeg to mine and it really hit the spot.
