Braciole (Stuffed Meat Rolls)
Broccoli rolled up in thinly sliced beef and simmered in tomato sauce.
Ingredients
Directions
- Lay steak flat and place broccoli across center in a row on top of steak.
- Roll broccoli in the steak and secure with 2 pieces of string.
- Sear roll in frying pan until cooked.
- Place sauce in a sauce pan or crock pot (preferred) and simmer.
- Place cooked rolls in sauce and let simmer for a few hours, the longer the better.
- Enjoy, and make sure you watch out for the strings!

This looks tasty, however... I can not believe that i ounce of meat, no matter how fattening + a half cup of spaghetti sauce could equal 357 calories. Using an average sauce would give between 50-100 calories, so that means that an average portion of the meat (4ounces) would yield between 1000-1200 calories

I believe this recipe is listed for using 2 entire heads of broccoli, based on the calorie content.
This recipe sounds yummy though, but I'll need to adjust the recipe to find out the actual calories.
