Black Bean Chili

A yummy black bean chili.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Brown the ground beef (or ground turkey). Add chili powder to the meat while cooking.
  2. In a separate big chili pot, cook one 15.8 oz can of black beans. After warmed, mash them with a potato masher. Add the remaining can of black beans and cook. Do not mash the 2nd can of beans.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes and diced jalapenos to the bean mixture and cook until it starts to boil.
  4. Add the meat, salsa, tabasco and water to the bean mixture and cook covered for 1 hour.
  5. Top with low-fat cheese or sour cream depending on your diet.

Reviews 
The caloric value on this is wrong, but I couldn't get the salsa out of the "sauces and gravies" category when I was registering the recipe. It's more like 370 calories.

Are you sure you mean 48 oz of salsa? That is a lot of salsa!

I love this recpie and posted one similar! The salsa takes the place of chopping all those veggies so the ratio is probably right
