My name is Wallis and I live in Iowa. I am 22 years old, I am currently a full time college student, and a full time worker at Nordstrom. I have been struggling with my weight since I was an adolescent, and have struggled with bouts of buhlemia and anorexia, and then back again with binge eating on junk food. I am done with the constant ups and downs, and wish to develope a healthy life style with healthy eating habits to boot. I'm really energetic, outgoing, and fun, however my weight puts a damper on a lot of this with my self-concious feelings that evolve into self doubt. BUT I'm working my way to be a better person, and I am excited I have the tools and the friends to endure this journey with me!! SO fun! I am highly into arts, and music. I am a singer, and I find that I can lose myself with my music and let my natural talent take over, which is so cool when you find something you love and are good at. We all have talents such as these, and I hope that when I can lose some of this weight, I can let my true talents shine through without self-conciousness bog me down. Ain't nobody got time for that!

My ultimate weight goal is 150lbs, however baby steps at a time.
My first weight goal is: 200lbs
My second weigh goal is: 190lbs (great feat just to get under 200lbs!)
My third weight goal is: 175lbs
My Final weight goal is: 160lbs

A Curvy Gals Work out
@wholefoodnut- I think I will look into a session with a personal trainer, just to get a good feel for what I need to be doing. So far, I have been doing great on the machines! My endurance has skyrocketed since the beginning of February. I run on the treadmill for 25 mins, do the elliptical at 5speed for 35, and bicycle until I surrender (Usually 15mins on level 12). I find that if I watch all of my favorite TV shows, it pumps me up and the time just flies!
I think with a trainer I would be able to get some weights/resistance training in there too.
I hear building muscle helps burn fat faster.

A Curvy Gals Work out
@Yolanda9179- You always crack me up! I admire your successes, so I always love to hear your 2 cents. I dont wanna lose a cup size, noooooo! Oh well, I already feel so much better, so I know I will feel great about losing this weight. Short shorts, and mini dresses are in my sights as well!!! **I have what I like to call a "sexy clothes bucket list"...

@erwinwarrior-Oh no, not the boobies!! Congrats on your success! You look like a whole new person! I bet you feel amazing!

DarleneW101- That is so awesome that you are hitting the gym, it looks like we both kind of started around the same time. Let stick to it!!!

Sweetalot- I love yoga and pilates, and I will incorporate it into my work out. It is so great to lengthen your muscles, stretch, and center yourself. Thanks for the suggestion!

A Curvy Gals Work out
Hi!
I am currently going to the gym about 3xs a week, and busting my buns on the tredmill/elliptical machine. With my improving endurance, I want to challenge my body so I can make the most of my hour and half at the gym. I am what you would call, a curvy girl, so I feel to lose weight in the right places, the right work out is in need.

I was thinking about getting one session with a personal trainer, but hey, that's expensive.

So I figure I would come here to get input from my fellow FS buddies!
What are your thoughts/feelings/experiences you have to offer?
Thank you so much!
Wallis

Sooooo....Cleansing water??
Hi!
I was wondering if anyone had any details about a "new" "fad" people are talking about. It is called cleansing water, and it is the all natural recipe of limes, lemons, oranges, cucumbers, mint, and (of course) water. I have tried it and it tastes so good, but I was wondering if anyone cared to share any feedback on it. Scientific facts, success stories, hypothesis, personal experience, etc. much appreciated!Very Happy
