I'm 26 and live in a Northeastern suburb of Cincinnati with a newly acquired roommate and two cats, one of which is mine. I work for a software consulting firm in Cincinnati... a desk job.
After being overweight and lethargic for most of my life, I decided to do something about it. My highest weight was 291 in January of '09. I joined Curves for a year to learn about exercise and healthy eating. I lost 35 lbs by going to Curves. I got bored of the circuit. The people were really nice, the workout just got too mundane for me. After my contract was up, I decided not to renew. A few months later, I signed up at a local gym. My weightloss remained stagnant for about 8 months. I wasn't keeping track of what I was eating, and wasn't going to the gym as often. In August, I decided it was time to kick it back into high gear and get this weight off of me!
I found out about FatSecret when I downloaded the Calorie Count app on my phone. I love the portability and the accountability as well!
