i am 50 years old from Jonestown,Pa.I have 3 daughters,a great hubby and 2 wonderful grandsons .................I was a waitress/cook/etc/rest.owner for 32 years, and 2 years ago, got into nurse aide work, i now work at a place with 25 severe mentally challenged and handicap residents.

The ABOVE PART of this journal is from when i first came here to check out this website when i found it while reading the womans world magazine!!!!!I am now 51yrs.old. THANK GOD for WW magaz.
because i do not know where i would be if i had not to this day.This FS SITE has helped me in so many ways, it has, NO i did not loose 100lbs. since then, but, its taught me there are guenuine folks out there that really do care. ITS kept me focused on how important it is to be true to me, with my weight and those issues, which its taken me forever to see results to my benefit. I will get it right sooner than later.I am done messing around with this yo yo dieting, i need to stick to one thing and get GREAT RESULTS! Back and forth is messin with me, thats all. My buddys are awesome, keeps me going most days!!!
My life has been a whirl-wind since march 2008, when MY mother at age 65 was diagnoised with NH Lymphomia, and all i have done, is run (with my dad and 2 sisters) from doctor appt to another, to hospital after hospital, long storys there and in fact as of this day-nov.9th /08, she is in a Philly hospital onec more......its been hard on us as a WHOLE, and GOD knows, my dieting was the last thing i have been concerned about for some time!!! BUT i have to NOW make time for me!!!!!!
I now work in the restaurant bussiness once more, this time as a hostess/cashier,because i messed up my shoulder from ;ifting patients at my last job, i miss that job too. I DO!!! So, here is am still doing this "change of life " for me, this time, actually as of nov. 1st,2008...i am gonna get it right.

I don't want to be a buzz kill, but...
FS people are the most awesome people anywhere, i have belonged to diff sites for weight loss in the past.NONE of them were great like this one, stick with us all here, I think there are lots of warm hearts and kind folks here. GOOD Luck on your journeys.

Empty calories?????? SO WHAT!!!!!
You know what i can tell you those empty calories, are what they are!!! SO WHAT! I am proud of you for having those things to eat, and not a big fat peice of chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting.OR a banana split!!!!!(ha)
STICK with what YOU are doing, i commend You....good job!!
