Negative comments
I was wondering how all of you would respond in the situation I was in on the weekend. I went for a walk around One Tree Hill in Auckland NZ, this amazing working farm/park in the middle of Auckland city and had to stop an check out a work email. As I was stopped an older man and his wife walked past and I heard the man say

"just keep moving you big cow"

at the time I was busy trying to work out if the earthquake I was emailed about was a major issue or not and didn't really hear/take onboard what he said (otherwise there would of been a response to him about such a rude comment) but I couldn't help but dwell on it for the rest of my walk.

Has anyone come across this blatant lack of human understanding from others?

How do you carry on holding your head high and not dwell on other peoples unwanted opinion?

Starting with a plateau?
Great advise NCNOLE

I would also add the most of the food you need to buy at the supermarket is in outside isle, Vegs Meat Dairy, you don't need to go down every isle and its much easier to avoid eating chip/chocolate if you don't buy it.

scale wont go down
Hi Karlajanebrink

Its about finding out what works for you, I am currently 106kgs and have been reducing my calorie intake and dieting for the past year and a half with no real results (apart from lowing my iron levels to an unacceptable count). I am now working with a Nutristist to try different approachs (atm low carb low exercise high fat) to see if it will jump start my body into loosing the excess weight.

Everybody is different and although I would love the equation of cal in vs cal out to work, for me, it dosnt. If you can I would recommend talking to a professional.

I've been lurking, but now I'd like to ask for some advice
Are you drinking enough water?

I can sympathise, my weight loss is in a bit of a stall lately, I have very low Iron levels which is making me tired all the time and have zero energy to work out. Before i went to the DR, finding out about my iron levels, it was very depressing- eating right and not losing any weight.

best breakfast?
Breakfast- single serve of natural porridge made with Light milk, Teaspoon of LSA and 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg or Cinnamon. sometimes I add 1/4 cup of raisins or grated apple. dose the trick fills you up and is nice and warm on cold winters morning.
