best breakfast?

Does anyone have a reallygood breakfast idea they'd like to share? I'm getting tired of nothing besides fruit in the morning and would be interested in finding out what other members enjoy in the mornings. Very Happy

I guess you could have whatever you want...breakfast doesn't have to be the usual breakfast stuff, sometimes I have a brunch,around 11am and that kind of does me until mid later afternoon. I love the versatility of eggs, and you can add or experiment with them...if you are into porridge then that is great slow releasing energy food, and there is a whole load of cereals, you can make your own, with some oats, nuts, seeds, dried, or fresh fruit, or try your fruit with greek yogurt, or fromage frais, just have what you fancy,even if you swap lunch for breakfast etc; whatever floats your boat,hunger is never good, I get crabby and lethargic personally,good luck Smile

Think outside the box. Eat whatever you want, The typical breakfast foods mentioned are great but I eat absolutely anything that's in the fridge and don't label anything 'breakfast food only" I eat eggs any time of day and had a vegetable medley with leftover chicken sausage today. I usually make sure i have a carb for quick energy and a protein for longer lasting energy and that goes for every meal.

English muffin with just peanut butter.
English muffin with egg white - bake egg whites at 350 for 15 minutes in a muffin tin and then you have enough for the week. Can freeze adn eat later.
English muffin and vegan sausage or regular sausage if you like.
Oatmeal smoothie - you can find recipes online. Again these can be frozen and enjoyed later.

For a nice change from my usual fruit, I love a toasted English muffin topped with a slice of tomato, sliced hard boiled egg and a sprinkle of low fat mozzerella.

While not for all, some of us wake up to a spicy, tasty breakfast. The Indian cuisine is meatless and full of wake up flavor. Thai coconut soup will really boost your senses awake with it's spices. From China comes spicy noodle soup. And the country I live next to (Mexico) sends us tortillas and real Red Chili. If you can't find or make that, then the american style chili and beans is guaranteed to arouse your taste buds to the the full alert level.
Yes, I know, most of these have a few more calories than other diet foods, but you can compensate at later meals and Wow! what a way to start a day. Check out the international section of the food store.

I found that I get hungrier throughout the day when I have breakfast, just a cup of plain black coffee and then I pig out with healthy food at lunch. It seems to help better with the hunger.

Everyone has such great ideas for yummy breakfasts! Reading them has given me a lot of ideas and taken my 'breakfast mindset' out of the box for sure. Thai soup for breakfast sounds great and I'll surely give that a try. So many good ideas.....thanks to everyone and good luck with your ongoing weight losses.

Doing my exercises daily.
I actually heard coffee was bad for you. I quit, actually. Just two quad shots of espresso each day. I feel much better for it. :D
