My weight has always fluctuated and once again I am at my biggest, just over 13 stone. I'm 26 and I had my first baby nearly 18 months ago so its time to get the weight creeping back down.

I've never dieted to be skinny, only to get to a reasonable weight and make sure i can fit back in my clothes. This time i want to reach my most ideal weight of 10 stone and maintain it.

I find writing down everything I eat is a great way of cutting down my food intake as i realise how much crap i'm putting in my body. Working in an office part time i am bombarded with offers of biscuits and I have to walk past a vending machine full of chocolate and crisps to get to the water machine...

Will Power and lowering my calorie intake are the way forward for me.

Dry lips, any vitamin rich foods you can recommend?
I have been following a low calorie diet for just over a week and managed to loose around 7 llbs so far. I have been consuming between 900 - 1500 calories a day and aiming (although not always successfully) to not go above 1500.

Mid last week i noticed my lips were getting really dry, tender and sore and today i have come down with a cold and my lips are painfully dry. I drink plenty of water so i know i'm not dehydrated. I believe it could be vitamin deficiency although i'm not sure which vits are related as there is so much conflicting evidence on the internet (damn you google!)

any one else experienced this? Any solutions apart from lip balm!
