How long do you grill the sweet potatoes? Thanks for your advice. I suspect that all of those items are going to be a big help! (Oh, do you cook the slaw and/or sprouts when using them for noodles? That's a really good idea!)

The best way to steam is to find an actual steamer (probably in your grocery store appliance aisle) that will fit into a pan (they adjust). Put some water in the pan, then put the steamer/veggies in there, bring to a boil and leave the lid on. it doesn't take long, depending on how many and what kind of veggies you're steaming. Use a knife to check for your desired tenderness.

I saw a mashed cauliflower recipe in the recipes area that sounded really good to me and may be an answer to your love of potatoes. For a switch up for broccoli, I like to stir fry it in olive oil along with onions and different colored sweet peppers . i add a bit of worsteshire (forgive my spelling), cumin, ginger and black pepper. You can incorporate other items into it in moderation to see what you like and what you don't. Good luck!

Day 1
Good luck to you! I have much further to go than you do for my goal weight, but I'm down 10 from my start. I suspect that the bigger we are, the easier it comes off at the start. I backed off for 10 days on entering my food and exercise and that was a bad ideaSmile

As far as exercise, I just turned to the elliptical. It just seems to give me so much more energy, even though I can't seem to do it longer than 30 minutes. I imagine that will increase as time goes on. A hundred years ago. I bought an Ab Lounger. I've done that for the past week and I actually see an improvement on the big 'ole fat belly I've obtained. So 10 minutes of that a day with the elliptical should get me some results! (I have no idea what a plank is - please fill me in.)

Good luck to you!
