I am a 55 yr old women trying to loose at leats 30lbs. I started the atkins challenge but to date i am gaining weight, do not know what i am doing wrong. exercising, eating 1200cal, 35gms carbs but no weight loss. I am afraid to eat more than 1200 cal daily. Help anyone

Weight gain
I added 1lb today; I think the cheesecake mouse did me in;I had two servings, it tasted so good.

Since I started this challenge I have lost 4.5lbs in two weeks and this feels good.
I will continue the journey, I have to attend a wedding in June and I am so looking forward to purchase a new dress and look really good.

Do enjoy the weekend and keep the carbs low

Thanks for the input, I think the total carbs will work for me and somewhere in between the net will sort itself out. In this way I will be on track,

Should I be counting total carbs or net carbs only. I think the total carbs may be just as important

I had some protein salted nuts and I am feeling much better, the shakey feeling is gone
