I am a 33 year old female. I was never happy with my weight and I love food too much (I cook for a hobby). I also love feeding people, making big dinners and entertaining. This all led to an even more unhappy waistline. I know I am an emotional eater and snacking is generally my downfall. Also, portion sizes are problematic.
The impetus for weight-loss started with a pain in my legs and lower back. I have always had a flat foot but events occurred where I was on it more than normal. That pain traveled to my knee and exacerbated the soreness of my lower back.
I want to have children, I want to be there for them and I can't do that if I am in pain from my weight. I also, do not want to be on a diet. Diets are temporary. So, I decided to change my lifestyle. Baby steps, if need be.
I am going to be more active with workouts, I am going to keep an eye on portions (via calorie budgeting). I hope to lose 65 lbs in total and become more physically fit.
