A week of clean living... I can tell the difference. No exercise scheduled today as I have to conserve energy for a long run tomorrow. Plus I need to ensure I eat at the top of my allowed calories. If it thunderstorms and I therefore postpone the run, it could really mess me up.

Took my first, ever, yoga class. It was Bikham (or "hot") yoga. About 45 minutes in my abs cramped up. Which means I was using them. And based on the amount of pain... using my abs may have also been a first. I finished the class; did't faint or pass out even though it was really, really hot. Yeah!

Day 4. Yup. Feel GOOD. Only a few pounds less than when I started, but I know that I'm on the way to being where I should be. Yes, each day is a struggle to eat right, fit in exercise, and stay motivated. But I'm starting to feel the difference. And I like it.

While I am not going to record my weight except weekly... I did have another minor drop on the scale this morning. My workout today was a bit shorter than it should have been; I ran out of time. Which is unfortunate for many reasons - including that the 1/2 marathon is only 32 days away. I can't afford to shorten/skip many workouts and hope to still do "ok".
Still motivated. And I can't wait to record a good drop in weight on Monday!

Day two of my "selfie"... selfie challenge, not selfie picture. And it's going to be a great day. A clean day.
When I officially weighed in yesterday, it read high. I got on the scale this morning, and it was down. Some of the high reading yesterday was deserved, as I didn't eat well during the long weekend. But I believe some was due to retaining liquid from the ramp up of exercise. As I am going to stay at a high level of activity, and mix it up a bit, I had best get used to the swings in the number and stay focused on the end result. Today my schedule includes Abs/Back and Legs. As I have a bunch of office work to get done first, I'd better get busy!
