My name is Avi, 20 years old from Delaware. I've been fat my entire life, and have finally decided to take control of it and am determined to lose weight. I'm planning on having the gastric bypass surgery, but during the pretests for it have found out that I suffer from iron-deficiency anemia, which has put a halt on the surgery for awhile. Until that's under control, I'm losing weight by myself by watching my portions, sodium and calorie intake, and am drinking a lot of homemade fruit shakes, staying away from fried foods, caffeine, sodas, sugar, etc, pretty much all the good stuff! But I am finding out, healthy eating doesn't have to be bland eating - a lot of healthy things taste really good!

trying to get started
Hey there, I'm new as well Smile 100+ lbs to lose, it's so intimidating! But I know it's for the best, as is your weight lost. As feenix said, keeping a food journal really helps. I've also found going to a therapist helpful for me, mine has been extremely supportive and has been helping me start changing my life.

I'm here if you need any support, or just someone to talk to Smile Good luck!
