Scales schmales
In a few days I will be going on a memorial day vacation up in Provincetown. Needless to say, I had a certain number in mind that I wanted to be down to. I was bummed out this morning when I stepped on the scale and realized I wouldn't make my goal number by a couple pounds.

But then later in the day something happened that more than made up for it.

I went shopping for jeans...and I bought the smallest size I've ever bought. In middle school I jumped from kids husky sizes to a 36" waist (with some help of a back brace), and had at one point grown to a 42". But today...

Today I bought 34" waist jeans. Levis. So it wasn't even a "forgiving" jean like Old navy can sometimes be (or the like).

And that completely made up for my missed goal weight for this week. And gives me the push to lose more, that it IS possible to lose around my middle.

Just thought I share because sometimes when the goal is to lose weight, we can forget that it isn't just about a number.

FS ads on my pc
since I use a netbook, I have to purposely scroll over to the right to even see what you guys were talking about with the ads...Good news for me, I'm getting ads for mortgages while I am entering grad school

tattoo?
I have two tattoos, and they run the gamit in terms of tattoos haha. I have a small wire heart on my ankle but I just finished an 8x10 (roughly) on my back of Munch's piece "Madonna"

I think the pain level for everyone is different, even in where it will hurt the most for a person. My ankle didn't bother me at all, but my back at times was really painful. If you require more than one sitting, definitely give yourself time to heal (just because it looks good and doesn't hurt to the touch doesn't mean that's the case all the way to where the needle hits!) I learned my lesson after my third sitting & gave myself 3 weeks until my fourth sitting.

Good luck on your tattoo ninjapanda!

not sweating while exercising?
I was wondering if anyone had gone through something similar. When I do cardio, I DO sweat, but while using weights I don't. I lift practically until my muscles can't anymore, but there seems to be a gap between what I would consider what I should be feeling afterward (winded, sweaty, and tired) and what I do feel after using weights...which is only feeling the muscles I've targeted (recently it has been upper arms and shoulders)tired/sore. Anyone have any ideas?

My New Beginning!!!
One thought that keeps me on track is the thought that by the time I decide to "restart" my diet in the past, I could have already achieved my goal weight! Just muscle through it (har har, no pun intended initially). You can do it! We all can!
