Hello, everyone! Hope you are doing well. I went to the party yesterday and made wise choices on my foods, but the sweets were too good to pass up. I did not have cake for almost 4 months, so I had a piece (that had less whipped cream than the side pieces). Then a relative made brownies so I had to have half a piece to try it. A triangle shaped tiny baklava, not the huge square or diamond shaped ones. My weight is up because of all the carbs and sugars I ate, but I am not worried because I am still below my goal weight.

This is a short work week for most people in the US, with Thanksgiving on Thursday. I am wishing all of you the best week ever, and the best Thanksgiving ever! No matter what your stresses are, please remember to be kind to yourself. Good luck in your journey!

Good job on the food choices. As you said the gain is just from the carbs that you don't normally eat, bet it drops off very quickly.

You know what you are doing,you have 69 lbs out from under your belt to prove it! As long as you stay mindful,as you show yourself to be in your entry above, & take actions to ensure where you want to be,you will continue to be happily living your BEST life! :) *I* am striving to follow suit :)

Deb, a bit of a splurge now and then is good for the soul! The baklava would have been my temptation. I may succumb today, the company is bringing in pie for a snack. If there is pumpkin I'm sure I will. Mindful eating and average it out over a few days.

I know this is a little late but too many things have been going on. I think you have been doing a tremendous job and giving yourself a treat every so often can't hurt the success you've already had. I admire you so much. Keep up the good work.
