mrsmole's Journal, 17 October 2014

Finally, back to "normal" after a week of intestinal hell from one bad gluten reaction last Saturday. I didn't even know I was sensitive. But after going 6 weeks without one crumb of gluten, I guess the human body does a big old WTF when you load it up, especially unintentionally, as I did. Well, lesson learned about educated guessing.

Feeling better, but a little bummed out that in spite of really good eating days and several gym workouts, I am net zero for weight loss instead of 1.25 pounds lighter as expected from a week's hard work. I was really living to see that scale move down about a pound a week, and I wouldn't be honest if I said it wasn't disappointing.

But it's one week out of my life, and it was a crappy week at that. Maybe I'll just hit the "delete" button and pretend it never happened, like I would in my computer world, LOL!!

Have a great one, everyone.

You're balancing pretty hard on that 190 edge. I'm ready to see you bump across. That's amazing - the gluten response. I ready gluten allergies are way up. Apparently something like 20 times the amount of gluten since they started using GMOs. Industry may have shot itself in the foot and destroyed part of our food supply... at least a saleable part.

if you find that delete-button, please share its location!

Ditto, the delete button! My experience has been that those weeks that don't show a loss will be followed by a week when you think you aren't doing well and you lose a bunch...it's a crazy roller coaster ride. I just try to remember that I am doing this for better health and weight-loss is an pleasant side effect ;-)

I think its a conspiracy. The scales are all getting together and plotting against us. I swear I heard it laughing the other day when I stepped off. Although I rather it laugh than groan like it used to do when I stepped on it.
