Start Weight:(05 Sep 14) 197.5 lb
Current Weight:(10 Sep 14) 195.3 lb
Goal Weight:140.0 lb
following: LCHF: Low carb, High fat / Ketogenic Diet
performance: losing 3.1 lb a week

I am here to lose the weight and looking to buddy up with like-minded people who takes their health and their need to lose weight seriously. I love to read books on nutrition to see what has changed in the medical world, and lastly, I love to encourage and motivate people to give whatever they are doing for their health, their best shot.

I would appreciate any and all constructive criticism that will help me get to goal. If you are doing the LCHF Ketogenic Diet, please stop by my group at "Keto Clarity." Feel free to look around.

High carb- Low protein and HUNGRY all the time???
Yes, you have to get your fat in. Do you use MCT Oil or Coconut Oil? Putting either one of those into your coffee/tea is a great help in upping your fat calories. You will find that you have to remind yourself to eat something. This is how you know you are in "ketosis" your appetite leaves you. But like they say, eat when you are hungry and don't when you are not. Hang in there, you can do it.

A question on carbs
It is evident that the LCHF Diet is not for you. Maybe Weight Watchers is more for you. There you can have high carb fruits.

In order for LCHF to work you have to work the program which is 20g carb per day. Being that you find it too restrictive, you need to find a diet that you can live with and can continue with, even when you reach your goal weight.

Fatsecret has all the various diets listed and it gives you information about each one. Give them a look see, you might find something that you can do, as no one diet fits everyone.

Hope that helps.

A question on carbs
You can try adding another 10g of carb per day for a week to see whether or not you are stagnant, or are still losing. If you are still losing then and you are happy with the loss, then go for it. But if you find that after a week of adding the additional 10g of carb along with the 60g you are already eating, is not dropping the weight or if it is starting to climb, then you know that you have succeeded your "critical carb level."

Best of luck to you with whatever you choose to do. Have a great evening.

A question on carbs
LMS1230: Everyone has their own "critical carb level," (Atkins)where they can eat a certain amount of carbs and still lose weight. But once they go OVER their level, then they will start to GAIN weight.

Questions:

How long have you been doing LCHF or Atkins?

Atkins is different than LCHF Ketogenic. On this way of eating it is a must not to go over 20g of carbs per day, Proteins moderate and Fat around 65%. Please listen to podcast that I posted today, as they speak about this: http://talkfeed.co.za/fat-lchf-diet/?utm_content=buffer6eaaa&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

On the LCHF, it is normal to lose 1 lb a week, but you tend to lose more inches throughout the entire body. On this way of eating, the scale is not a priority. The tape measurer is. Then you have to remember that all low carb diets are really a "fat loss" diet and not truly a "weight loss" diet.

There are only a few fruits that are very low carb and those are strawberries and blue berries. Are you using the MCT Oil and/or Coconut Oil? These help control your appetite and cravings between meals.

Hope the information helped.
