Yes please! One doesn't have to need a tortilla for fajitas!
It frightens me that I just said that!

There is such thing as a keto tortilla....

@Flurpo Idk what that has to do with anything? I sure as HELL am not keto... just no tortillas so I wouldn't go over my calories for the day from my last meal of the day :)

Is flurpo another middle-schooler logged in from health class? Keto isn't as big here as it looks; it's just the most visible minority, because it works for a certain type. I'm doing it now for even energy, and because it's my best chance of getting shoulders like Diablo's, but there is NO way I would suggest it to anyone.

T8U9 - it does seem to me that Keto is what I read about most often. There are a lot of groups to join for that type of diet, but I don't see many ACTIVE groups for people who are practicing portion control, or eliminating processed foods, or counting calories. I find it surprising.

Fritzy that is what I am doing. portion control, eliminating processed food and counting calories, and nothing with simple carbs. I get my carbs from whole fruit etc. So far I have lost 13 lbs. It is slow going but that is how I wanted it. I walk three days a week for 30 minutes, and than I Zumba on Saturday and Sundays. I'm very happy with the progress. My doctor is very pleased too!

Fritzy & Little Red Fox, me too what you're doing. FS is my best friend anymore! How many carbs do you recommend? Have been focusing on calories and saturated fats.

I don't really focus on the carbs, I am low carb, no white sugar, processed things. I am trying to eat natural sugars from fruits and veg. I try to only eat whole fresh foods - meat, veg, fruit. I am not Kato, what is best for me is whole foods, since I have many food allergies I have to be careful with recipes ingredients. I have to ask what is in everything when I go out to eat, which honestly is not that often. I cook a lot at home, I bring my lunch every day to work. I'm happy with my progress. I have made friends with kale, and I even make a darn good cauliflower pizza crust! What amazes me is the way that substitutes trick our little minds. I have been enjoying trying new receipts. I look at whole food cooking websites and if something sounds good, and I'm not allergic to it I will try it. Its fun and I have even gotten my husband on the band wagon, of course he has already lost more weight than me and I have been doing this longer than him. But men always do that, all they have to do is stop drinking beer. Good luck and be creative and make it fun! You will be surprised.
