Hey I am back:

On my first round I lost about 50 pounds but over the last few months I started gaining it again. So, last week I said stop and go back to what worked before. So, here I am trying to be low carb and "watching" calorie intake.

This has been a great group of people and I look forward to talking with the old and new members. I am a little less intense this time - if I stay the course and hover around the right numbers , I will be satisfied. I know the weight comes off if you stay close to the plan.

I wish everyone here success with your own personal goals.
Bob

HELP!!
Well, the good news is losing weight and lessening calories usually has a very positive effect on your blood glucose levels. Everyone is different but I tried going extreme and then more gradual. For me changing gradually worked better. I am on a lower carb diet and not low carb. My A1C is below 6 and at one time was as high as 10. So, good luck, step at a time and keep involved in the community

confused about serving size in food and recipes
Patti: That drives me nuts too. I look when the ingredient is still in the list and it will say 100 grams or 3 oz. Then when add it it says one serving so I write in the directions one serving = 3 oz. It is ridiculous but stay with it.

One Small Step
I'm trying to do a lower carb diet. Usually, I can spot the carbs in foods. But , tonight I made a great dinner with pork chops. But, I cooked some tiny small red potatoes and mashed them. So one and a half little red potato was 40 grams of carbs. Shoot, it knocked me over my 100 gram daily limit.

Also, I had a slice of Ezekiel bread and that didn't help but that I was aware of.

Oh well try again tomorrow.

HELP Night hunger
I cant eat veggies as a snack and feel anything. I heat up a cup of coconut almond milk with some chia seeds and 1/2 small banana. It gets to a tapioca consistency.I add Truvia (Stevia) as a sweetener and it seems to satisfy me. Although you still need to save a few calories (200) for this
