Sherillynn's Journal, 29 December 2016

I find this is getting a bit easier. I am not craving the sodas or the sugar so that is very helpful. Even though I always drank diet soda, I have given that up too.

Certain foods seem to now have more flavor. I wonder if that is due to the detox?!? I need to get my butt back in gear to walk. The weather here isn't all that great and going to the gym has no appeal for me at all but I need to continue moving and losing. Spring won't get here soon enough in my opinion!

New years Eve will be the next diet hurdle. I don't think it will be nearly as tempting as all of the Christmas things but after that life will get back to normal.

Blessings to all as we finish out the year. Keep your eyes on the goal.

That's great! Giving up sodas is tough, but feels so good when you do. I'm 15.5 weeks soda free myself.

Shrimp from the USA?? Yay! I seldom buy farmed shrimp because it is all raised out of the states. I hope your venture in the shrimp farming business goes well. Keep us informed.

I saw that, too SGP, but figured she commented on the wrong post. I am still curious, though. lol

I think they were reading my bio. lol. I have an indoor shrimp and tilapia farm in Iowa.

I'm on the fence about tilapia, never really cared for the taste.

Good job on the weight loss - and the shrimp farming!

We use the George Foreman grill and cook the tilapia with lemon pepper, garlic, onion powder on it. Just takes minutes and my family loves it!

I suppose catfish isn't a fair basis for comparison.

Everything is sweet now! I didn't know how sugar numb my taste buds were. Sherilynn, do you live in the Pacific Northwest? Spring certainly is a time to which to look forward. Happy New Year.

We use to eat tilapia all the time but then the one we had been buying started tasteing muddy and we have never been able to find any since. we buy like twice as much as we need so if one piece taste nasty just get another piece. But this stated to get expensive. Cod has become our favorite now.

I love Salmon and Cod the best, too.

Yeah, SGP, that's the taste I never cared for, just seems like a dirty fish and that's saying something if you've ever got a hold of mud cat. Cod, forget about it, by and away the best fish ever.
