Hello my Buddies! A great new day started productively with a workout at OTF, and meals all planned out and set to go for the day.
Another FS member commented on a journal a couple days ago mentioning how we have been "chemically misaligned since childhood" regarding our food. I LOVED it because it was absolutely true for me.
I grew up with my crazy Italian family on the East Coast eating Italian bread, pasta, potatoes, sausage, meatballs, etc.
Is it any wonder I was carbohydrate addicted? I feel so much better without the heavy carbs...amazing!
The words of the week: No excuses - just do it
I am dedicated, determined, and diligent.

Funny how we have to break the cycles we learned from our parents. My mom doesn't like veggies so we rarely ate them, but I love them.

I grew up with parents who had to have bread and pasta or potatoes at every meal and, of course, dessert. Seldom was salad fixings in the house. As children we had to eat everything on our plate and were raised to not turn down any food that was fixed. As an adult, I know better, but it is a struggle to not eat the foods I love from my youth.

I agree Kattay I was raised just like you and why do we think we still have to eat like that!! I have a LOT of problems with portion control. My foods to go to were mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Iam hoping I will finally get my self together and change for the GOOD!! Best of luck to you on you way to thinner!!!
