Hey everyone :) Thank you for the kind words and support.

Yesterday was a tough day. The majority of the family left for Texas after the services, as that's where my aunt will be buried. I fear that is the last time I will see my grandma alive, and that's just being realistic. She's 93, and since my aunt died her BP has been insane high, systolic in the 190's.

After the service I had planned to go to the gym but I ended up in a big heap on the couch. My wonderful dog came up and nuzzled me, then lied down on the floor beside me, almost in sympathy misery. I decided he deserved a walk, and if I wasn't going to get anything done at least I could mope while walking the trail. We got 3.5 miles in. That's about where my 'awesome' dwindled out. I comforted myself the rest of the day with fruity pebbles, trail mix, and a heaping plate of spaghetti. I know, I'm such a rebel. Worked yesterday evening and ended up in bed at 8:30pm.

Today will be a better day. Like always I'm starting it off with a green smoothie, and I'm going to make great food choices. I don't know if I will get a proper workout in though. I have to take my vehicle to the shop for new tires, then I need to grocery shop. I'm going to try not to overwhelm myself with a to do list, I will get done what I can and get everything else tomorrow. My shoulders feel heavy, and anxiety is high. Sometimes life is too real.

Well that about sums it up for me :) Hope everyone is having a good week!

I love how dogs can sense our need for comfort, don't you. Prayers for you and your family continue and you continue doing whatever you need to do to get through this period and taking care of yourself. One thing at a time and just let the rest go. It'll be there another day or will resolve itself.

Wow, I am at a loss for words on the 1st paragraph. As reality is a true "bummer." Glad that you had time to enjoy your family even in the dire circumstance. With all that running around that you will be doing, I think you got your exercise in for the day. Hugs!

I hope you had a chance to spend some quality time with your grandma. Precious memories are too few. Dogs are the best companions. They do feel your emotions and you know they have empathy for you by the looks on their face and their actions. I am sure your dog felt your sadness. I am glad you are having a better day today ((Hugs))
