Happy Weekend, buddies!

How is everyone doing these days? I was irritable today because I had to go in to my office to do paperwork...I hate when that happens! But, I am self-employed and must do what I gotta do sometimes, right?

Then I went to
Orange Theory Fitness for my workout at 4:00pm. I have been using the elliptical strider for at least two months while I rehab my hip/lowerback/piriformis muscles.

OTF has two elliptical machines and...darn it but both of them were in use when I showed up today! I was bummed out because 99% of the time I am the ONLY person using one.

So I was "forced" onto the treadmill! I slow ran on incline "1" so I could at least get my heart rate up! It was not too awful...until I stopped. Now, my hip is sore as hell!

Add that on to irritability and I was one unhappy brat! Sometimes when I feel like this I want to eat everything in sight! BUT I didn't do it!

I am dedicated, determined, and diligent!

Is your hip doing better overall though? I hope the next time you go the elliptical is free.

Good self awareness: Sometimes when I feel like this I want to eat everything in sight! Refraining from it: awesome. You're doing great!

At least you tried. Sorry about your hip. I had hip pain recently from taking too long of a stride when power-walking. I'm resting it for one week. I will resume my walk/run next week, because I feel like it's almost healed. It's important to let injuries heal completely, no matter how minor they seem, or else the healing process will be prolonged. Have you not done any exercises to aggravate your hip during those 2+ months? If not, have you had a doctor check it out with x-rays or anything? I hope it gets better! Keep up the good job with your workouts! :)

glad you didn't give into the craving! and at least you did something instead of just walking out.. that's something to be proud of.

Kudos on finding other ways to exercise when the body talks nasty to us. I gave up kettle bell. For a while anyway. Then I'll do it again, then whine because my back hurts.

I'm also doing rehab on a hip! And, according to Dr. Google, I suspected the piriformis muscle, as well. Hopefully, we'll both be successful and back to normal soon! Good luck with rehab!
