Happy Monday Everybody!

Down another pound. 191.8 pounds. Had a great buddy check my food diary to see if I was eating the wrong things on induction. Some of the things that she found in her investigation were: hidden carbs in the bratwurst, hot dogs, Simms meat sticks. I have cut back on my net carbs and went to total carbs to see if that was the problem too. Maybe I won't have to stay at total carbs for long. The scale is just a tool and I am trying to stay focused and positive.

Yesterday's sermon at church was just what I needed. Stay The Course. It's not easy to live a Christian life at times but it the only life for me, something like when I started Atkins. It's not easy sometimes but is getting easier. When I started using the tag..."We Can Do It With God's Help and the help of our Fatsecret buddies" my intention was to give God the glory for this journey and also to remember that we are all in this together here on this website. Thank you my friends for being there to help me. Hope you enjoy a song most all of us know, I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends by the Beattles. 191.8 lb Lost so far: 94.2 lb.    Still to go: 61.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

way to go on stayin focused and on track..always a good idea to look back at the food menu to tweak here an there..little by little the weight drops off...have a greatttttt day...

Congrat's on your loss. From what I see, you've lost 5-8 pounds in the last 30 days which is awesome! Good job catching the hidden carbs in the processed meats. The more processed the food, the higher the chances are those carbs sneak in, masquerading as a zero-carb food.

Alright, Cindy, great job on the pound!! The Simms sticks have about .5 grams of carbs per stick. The little ones, (bite size) have 1 gram in 6 pieces. I use both, depending on what Aldis has when I go shopping. I only eat brats or hot dogs rarely due to the carbs in them. Man do I miss me a good brat! I have been using the Simms sticks since the beginning and had no problem with them, and have cut them out for periods of time to see if they were the stalling factor, but they weren't, so added them back in. Good luck with the total carbs, hope it helps, but as Sandy says, the 5-8 pounds is a great weight loss at a steady rate...I would be thrilled if I could get half that in a month! lol You are doing fabulous! Wow Cindy thanks for sharing you have done a fabulous job I only hope I can do as well as you are. Last November I weighed 289 nearly 300 and when I went on a plane I had to ask for the belt extension it made me feel so terrible. So I messed about got down to 274 then last week thought I would take a look at the New Atkins after doing the old one and so far I am very pleased. So helpful being on the site there is so much help and love going around I don't feel so alone anymore...Thanks to everyone.
