Today I had a good laugh doing my mini-challenge for the Biggest Loser Challenge in which I am involved. Note: I am "babying" my sore left Achilles tendon.

Our team is doing a Bob Harper (Biggest Loser Trainer) video that directs you through four specific movements each with a specific number of repetitions to complete. He allots seven minutes and you are supposed to go through the sequence AMRAP - which is "as many reps as possible."

OK - so I got through ONE sequence! Yikes - I moved slowly and deliberately to perfect my form and avoid further injury!

It is a good workout for me as my heart rate was elevated trying to do those side planks! Are you kidding me? Really? I have to keep one knee down while I do it - which he says is an acceptable modification.

Anyone have suggestions for a sore Achilles tendon?

- My FS Buddies who support and encourage me to continue
- "Butt-kicking" myself to a smaller size today
- My DH - who is my greatest "cheerleader"
- My Bengal cat companions named Bodhi and Ravi

- My physical health

Side planks? What's not to love about side planks? LOL. Just kidding - no one in their right mind likes side planks! But it doesn't matter how many reps you do or whether you are faster than the next guy - you got your heart rate up and you paid attention to correct form. Win!

Thirty deep lunges while holding weights over your head, followed by 20 mountain climbers, followed by 20 side planks, and closing with 30 pump squats - and see AMRAP within seven minutes!

@Thynes: Ouch is right - my old knees scream at the lunges and I am using light hands weights held overhead, too!

Sore Achilles Tendon...be very careful. Stretch your foot out and makes sure you keep the tendon warm. If you subject it to cold temps, it could snap...
