I try to drink as much as possible, but taper off the closer to bedtime I get.

I understand but still it's like I might as well live in the bathroom because I have to pee every ten minutes

I cut back on fluids

I've been told your body adjusts but I am still waiting on that - so I cut back my water to 3 16oz a day instead of six

I had this when I first started fasting and I ended up getting dehydrated. I started taking an electrolyte supplement and it, and the dehydration stopped.

DO N OK nailed it, only drink if you're actually thirsty. All of this, "must drink lots of water" stuff is bollox.

Yeah, I ge up and go to the bathroom as often as I have to, I just figure I am getting more steps. I count coffee, tea, and water all towards the total for the day, about 60 ounces a day.

I always struggled with drinking water... the only thing that helped me to get consistent is a free app called Plant Nanny. It calculates amount of water you need each day based on you height, weight and lifestyle... I’m on 11 cups of 7 oz per day now. Your get a seed and you grow a plant by recording the water you drink... it’s like having a pet that you have to feed. For the first time in my life I’m sticking with such a high amount of water... when it comes to peeing, it has gotten better.

I rarely reach the 1oz per lb of wt mark. Once I get halfway there I’m running to the bathroom constantly lol. I’ve learned to plan bathroom breaks :). I count all fluids including tea, coffee, water and even sodas. I don’t count water in foods except maybe broth if I can easily measure it (home made soups). 60-80oz is about all I can get in it seems. I do find that is easier for me to drink more at meals then sip throughout the day.

You don’t have an overactive bladder. The body excretes excess fluid. Thirst tells us that we need fluid. Drinking so much fluid has no basis in science. Fluid doesn’t flush out fat.

What Do N OK, Phil, and Gail531 said. Drinking a lot of water is a tool to help you feel full. If it makes you feel full, then have at it. If not, drink when you get thirsty.

are you taking a water pill for health reasons? if so be careful with pushing fluids unless youve spoken to your doctor

Taking water pill for my swelling that I used to have. Probably don't need it anymore. I'll ask my Dr next appointment.
