Hump day! Last night was third night in a row that i snacked late and went way over calories. It is not hunger, it is something can't quite name yet. Just hot and tired and irritable, and i get this "oh f it" attitude. Tomorrow will be five weeks from a major checkpoint i have set for myself, so i need to get it together and double down.

We've all been through it. Don't let it derail you. Having healthy snacks ready to go helps me. When I want a snack it's not one that will sabotage my progress. When you slip and fall, get up, brush yourself off and get right back on. No one can change the past. And only YOU control your future.

I did the same thing last night! I got so mad at myself. Glad I’m not the only one that falters on that.

I find I eat late out of boredom. Something is missing in my life, due to being a caregiver for my 85 year old mother and I fill that void with food. if I get to the gym at night, I eat less when I get back home.

I have to go to bed at 9:00pm. If I stay up past that I will eat. Last night (and tonight) I HAVE To stay up until 11:00pm. The ONLY thing saving me is that I am currently on a fast so I know I can't 'have just a nibble' (that turns into a carb fest).

At might it’s the same for me. I’m not bored or hungry but it’s almost a NEED to eat! Usually hits 2-3 hours after dinner whether I eat at 6pm or 10pm doesn’t matter.

I feel the same way at night....every night. I chew gum.....very strong minty gum. Mint doesn’t go well with chips or most other snacks so it helps me.

The o-f-its are just thoughts with no (ahem) weight behind them. I on the other hand hand, have weight behind me and I don't want it there any more. So push the thoughts out of the way like the hot air they are and eat something that is part of the plan or down some water or put on some music and dance. Or call a friend and get real about why you are on the journey. And if we give in the o-f-its then OK - learn from it and continue the journey better prepared:) We got this.

Ty so much everyone! I appreciate the support and great ideas! I did it again last night, but at least last night i was actually hungry. I am going to keep getting back up on the horse.
