I had my quarterly doctors appointment. Down 25 lbs, A1c down to 5.2 from 5.3. Cholesterol, blood pressure, Lyme markers all low. My diabetes medications are to be reduced gradually, 🙀, and statin cut by half. The doctor's computer was down, so he couldn't see the results of all the tests I've had over the last 3 months. So I got to boast about my progress. Actually got him to smile. Once I started babbling, he figured out a back door into his computer to "verify" the boasting. Poor guy couldn't find anything wrong with me. Hehehe. After the brag fest, I went into my litany of complaints. He wrote on my chart, IRRATABILITY. I'm not sure if I had mentioned diarrhea /constipation, so I guess he was referring to my personality. I didn't know it showed so much.
Someone should make a movie about cranky old ladies before Hillary gets elected. I'd prefer she doesn't get all the credit for the older gals being fed up with the lack of civility going on these days. And forget living with me it the Donald gets elected. Warren thinks he has his hands full...you ain't see nothin'. So there you have it my dear FS buddies. Losing weight really did make a difference. God, I hate it when I'm wrong.

Great job, Sarah! And I agree with your note about older gals -- one of my favorite sayings is by Lucy from Peanuts from years ago: "I like being crabby, I'm proud of being crabby! The crabby little girls of today are the crabby old women of tomorrow!!" Lucy has always been my roll model!!! LOL

It must feel wonderful to see the data there in black and white. I was resisting magnesium supplements that fs folk suggested, but then my doc prescribed them. I take 1500 mg magnesium oxide a day and no longer have constipation or sleep problems. Congratulations on working hard and reversing your disease process! This is what we all want for ourselves 😊

Well done Sarah. Even here in Australia I get such negative doctors. What is with that?!! I got told I was "catastrophising" that my sister's partner had just suicided. I mean, honestly, these names they call you are just such rubbish. I am so TOTALLY in the grumpy old woman category!
