Mystic is a great place to go. I live close by. What casino are you planning on going to? There are two Foxwoods and Moheagan Sun. So far I never made it to Foxwoods but was told that Mohegan Sun is the nicer one.
Anyway, a great idea to get away for the holiday. I would like to do that too, going a little bit south, but I dread the traffic. So, I guess I will end up staying at home.

Have any of you seen some of the recent news articles around 'Black Friday'??? I was just reading yesterday, how some stores will be opening on Thurs Evening - thus requiring their store employees to come into work early ... and interrupt their Thanksgiving Holiday! Now - I personally think this is RIDICULOUS! In this economy no one can afford to tell their boss to 'go scratch'... however, no sale item is going to get me to plan my afternoon around family time...then hop out to stand in line for 6 hours to be near the front so I can get my hands on some hot little special. As a culture...we need to say NO to this. I refuse to go shopping on 'Black Friday' until morning. - Nothing left...oh, well...guess my family didn't need it anyway :)

If I'm not mistaken, I think some stores....I want to say K-Mart and/or Toys-R-Us, but I'm not positive...have been open on Thanksgiving Day in previous years, although I don't recall them having the major doorbusters as they'd have on Friday and Saturday. Even as a former retailer, I have to agree that this kind of scheduling is ridiculous and I won't be participating either.

Paula have a wonderful time with Hubby just being with each other will do you good, no other distractions......I know me and Hubby had a great time in Clearwater FL a few weeks ago..... I am with you about Black Friday it is insane, you should spend time with family for sure. The deals will be there next week........Crazy
