whey makes me sick to my stomach, gives me "burps" and horrible gas pains.. and ive never had any issues with lactose (whey is a by product of milk). After some researching, I settled on a vegan protein powder (Vega) and almond milk.. all side effects gone.

at one time i was using the whey protein..an i kinda think it was adding weight..so i stopped using it..

It seems like it would be fine for you to weigh somewhat less. That would give you a buffer, a safe zone to keep your weight varying within so you wouldn't have to feel as if you were always on the edge of gaining the weight back. That could be helpful too if you think you might have children someday and would have to deal with weight gain during pregnancy. Of course, if you take your weight too low, it can interfere with conception. In any case, you're doing a great job and making thoughtful choices. Congrats!
