Running /Shock Absorbing Shoes
I am looking for some suggesting on some really shock absorbing shoes. During the week I run 6 miles 3 times a week and go to a bootcamp class every weeknight. With that in mind my knees tend to get painful at times so I think shock absorption is pretty important.

I currently have KSwiss Tubes that have been pretty good to me (though starting to meet their time) and I was wondering if there is anything even better. Oh and I have somewhat wide feet so Nike's have never been comfortable for me.

Thanks for the advice in advance Cool

How many calories should you aim for breakfast
This entirely depends on how many calories per day you are aiming to eat and how often you eat. Ultimately everything is about calories in calories out (ultimately it really doesn't matter when you consume or use the calories) so even if you eat 1000 calories at breakfest and 200 for the remainder of the day as long as that's what works for you stick to it. 350 certainly doesn't sound high. When counting calories look at the overall daily consumption and try to make sure you eat at a minimum of 15 grams of protein after a workout, those are the only meal rules that I can suggest.

HELP
I think FS is way overestimating RDI, mine said 1900 (and that was with me putting in that I work out less than I do) then I went to a nutritional clinic where I had my body measured for everything including muscle and bone density and it came back with 1440. When I showed FS to a nutritionist she said that's most likely an overestimate for anyone my height and age (5'6 and 27).

Giving into sweets?
So for a long time I had tried to give up on the sweet stuff while dieting, you know we all heard it, you should even get rid of every sweetener whenever possible. I have tried this for weeks at a time but my sweet tooth always got a hold of me and with a vengeance till I binged on everything sweet I could find. Then I just kind of gave inShock . I am still concentrated on getting the nutrition I need but I am incorporating it into mostly "sweet" meals.

For example at breakfast I will have plain greek yogurt with fruit, a little bit of cereal for crunch and sweetener. For lunch I will have plain oatmeal with protein powder and cinnamon, for snack I will have some cottage cheese with apple sauce or sugar free fruit preserve. Dinner I tend to go savory (since that's what my boyfriend wants).

So is sweet really bad? I enjoy my meals (and days) better and I think I am doing ok on nutrition (I am getting whole grains, fruit, and protein needs while keeping the calories low). Or am I still doing something badQuestion
