Need advice
First of all, congratulations on such a life-style change! Great job!

How long have you been going to the gym? What kind of exercises are you doing (cardio and/or weight training)? Chances are, if you have not worked out before and have just started working out, you are building up some muscles that weren't there before, and muscle weighs more than fat, so that might have something to do with it. I've also heard that if you eat too few calories, your body goes into "starvation mode" and starts storing them, so you don't burn off as many as you normally would have. 1200 is probably a safe range (that's my daily goal, as well), but I wouldn't go too far below that. Does your gym have trainers? Talking to one of them might help you figure out what's going on, and they can design a plan for you that includes both cardio and weight training to reach your goals.

No matter what, these healthy changes will make you healthier in the long run, so keep it up! Smile
